Area Bump Chart
An area bump chart, also known as a bump plot or a ranked dot plot, is a data visualization tool used to display and compare the rankings of items across two or more categories. In an area bump chart, the items are plotted on a number of horizontal axes and their rankings are represented by the position of dots on the axes. The area occupied by the dots on each axis represents the relative ranking of each item in a particular category. The dots are often colored and connected with a line to form an area plot, hence the name "area bump chart."
This type of chart is useful for comparing the relative rankings of items across multiple categories, as it allows you to see at a glance which items are consistently ranked highly or consistently ranked poorly
